Quadcopter For Law Enforcement

There are several advantages to quadcopters over comparably-scaled helicopters. First, quadcopters do not require mechanical linkages to vary the rotor blade pitch angle as they spin. This simplifies the design and maintenance of the vehicle. Second, the use of four rotors allows each individual rotor to have a smaller diameter than the equivalent helicopter rotor, allowing them to possess less kinetic energy during flight. This reduces the damage caused should the rotors hit anything .

Drones, aircraft that can fly without a human on board, have been used for everything from military operations to surveying the devastation left by Typhoon Haiyan. Now scientists have found a new use: keeping tabs on vulnerable marine animals. Aerial surveys are used to monitor many species in the ocean, including humpback whales, Risso’s dolphins, and manatees. Usually, a few observers ride in a small plane and record animals sighted below. But manned surveys have their downsides: They’re expensive, limited to areas near shore or an airstrip, and sometimes dangerous.

A quadcopter, also called a quadrotor helicopter, quadrotor, is a multirotor helicopter that is lifted and propelled by four rotors. Quadcopters are classified as rotorcraft, as opposed to fixed-wing aircraft, because their lift is generated by a set of rotors More recently quadcopter designs have become popular in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) research. These vehicles use an electronic control system and electronic sensors to stabilize the aircraft. With their small size and agile maneuverability, these quadcopters can be flown indoors as well as outdoors.

Over the last few years, drones have been finding jobs in industry. They are used for gathering news, checking crops on farms, as well as photographing houses for real estate agents.Recently, a number of new products and social media services have popped up, in a noble effort to help people take better pictures and videos of themselves with the aid of a drone.
